Kobe Express in Surfside Beach

I got teriyaki steak and shrimp for lunch. It came with veggies (mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, and onions), rice, spring roll, fortune cookie and yum yum sauce. Very good and so was the price!

If you're looking for a quality dinner without spending a lot of time and money this is the place. We get carry-out quite often!

Awful place. The staff seemed like they didn't want us there, the sushi was warm, and the salmon was brown and slimy at the bottom. Won't be back.

Got salmon and avacado sushi for wife. She rated 5 stars for good sushi and great prices. Service was friendly and super fast. Excellent!

Food was good. Place needs updating. They charge you for water and it tastes like tap water.Maybe they were charging for the styrofoam cups.

Second time going there. The staff are friendly and ensure you know where they're located. They're quick with the orders and the portions are great for an amazing price. Really great sushi for the price point, just not the best I've ever had. Regardless, they are well deserving of a 5/5.

Just average hibachi takeout. Not anywhere near as good as the location on 707. Service not friendly. About as helpful as a pencil.

The lady made our steak and rice bowl with mushrooms in it even though ive been here a million times. When i asked her if she wouldn't mind remaking it without mushrooms she offered to pick it out by hand. Then she made it again the right way finnaly, and charged me full price a 2nd time. I would not suggest anyone come here if they value customer service.

Best hibachi spot in Surfside, the food is amazing BUT the lady at the front is always rude. Never have had her be nice. Also the mirror and the bathroom is gross, I wish they cared more

I order plenty times from here, steak and chicken is amazing, and 99% of the time they give you the large portions of everything so you have enough for lunch the next day! Make sure to grab plenty of sauce!

I came here for the first time tonight and got the vegetable hibachi for myself and the kid chicken bowl for my kid. We loved the food and ot came out fast. We plan to return often.

The food is amazing! Its a family owned place and very welcoming. The atmosphere is really nice too.

The hibachi chicken and steak was fabulous. The chicken was tender as well as the steak. Will definitely go back.

Burnt fatty chicken and the smallest portion I've ever gotta at any Japanese restaurant. Just sad.

Front counter was extreamly rude. Asked a question about getting a side of noodles and she basically screamed at me saying no she cant and that it would be an additional charge. Aweful customer service. We will not be back.

Lady behind the counter very very rude. She was very short with me when I asked her a question about about substituting rice for veggies. Menu very poorly written. No explanation of what each sushi is. After meal was prepared, we could see the food sitting there. Man cooking food had to get after her to get off her cell phone and to give us our food. Customer service on a scale of 1 to 10.....negative 20. Will never ever ever return to this place.

Love this place. Teriyaki Chicken bowl is the best! Can't beat the prices. Lots of lunch specials. I usually do takeout but have eaten in several times. Restaurant is very clean, people are very nice.

I ordered a shrimp 🍤🍚bowl. The rice was cooked perfectly, considerable amount of shrimp. Also had egg rolls🌯🌯 which were seasoned to perfection. The staff was friendly and courteous. Highly recommend! Price is great also😎👍👏👏👏🍚

I've gone here so many times over the years because I simply love it. It has been the same family for as long as I can remember and they are super nice. The food is fantastic and they get it done quickly. Eating in or taking out are both options. Please come here for some great food!

This place is awesome...a local favorite....The Sushi is excellent and a great deal..esp. during lunch. Their other food is great..esp the spring rolls and fried dumplings...The Lady and Guy that own the place are very polite and I def. Recommend it to anyone.

Placed a pick-up order over the phone, food not only not ready 20 minutes after ordering, but not started to be made until after we arrived. Overpriced. Daughter likes their steak & chicken bowl, personally I don't like Japanese food. Too much rice, not enough protein.

First time visit.asian girl took my order..when it was unclear what she said she muttered w a glare.. i just told you .😶 .bottom line very confusing prices.. ordered lunch specials.. sign said steak xtra $1. 00My order was $4.99She said it was $9.00 now. 🤭🙄😳.She was rude and condescending. I told her I'd like mg order w o attitude.. my first vist..and definitely my Last.. the people waiting said they had the same issue. .maybe it isn't your customers. This place has never let us down. We can always grab a good meal quickly and at a decent price. Unlike some of the other restaurants of this type. The quality doesn't fluctuate wildly depending on the night of the week. All around a very good place to get a really good, really quick and really affordable meal.

Nice sushi at a great price. Had better but cant beat this for the price. We got 6 rolls and steamed dumplings to go. Lady on phone made sure we knew where they were located and made sure everything was ok with our order before we left. Large picture menu so you can see what you are ordering and very accurate to what you actually get. If you're looking for something quick, light, or delicious...this is your place.

We went to eat lunch there and they were closed. It was 12:30 and the sign on the door said they opened at 10:30 but they were definitely not open. There was not a single person there :-(

After going to the beach in the morning, we were looking for a place to grab lunch before going to the water park in the afternoon. We were pleased to stumble into Kobe. We got the hibachi chicken lunch. It was very tasty and just the right amount of food.

Lady at the counter had a terrible attitude for no reason. Bad customer service won’t go back for sure! If you wanna to instantly be in a bad mood go here!

Good fast food! Nice people. My grandson loves it.
